FedEX (Kinko’s) offers free resume printing

FedEx Office (formerly known as Kinko’s) is extending a helping hand to job seekers today: free resume printing. Customers can print up to 25 black-and-white copies of their resume at any of the company’s 1,600+ stores across the United States.

“We understand that the economy has affected many people in a very profound way, and we want to help,” said Brian Philips, president and CEO of FedEx Office. It’s a timely expression of  sympvertising, both of which are powerful brand building tools if used in a relevant setting, and they’re appreciated more than ever when times are tough. Time to figure out what your company can offer (potential) customers, with as little investment and as much empathy as possible. New anti theft program for the Mac

With desktops becoming smaller and more portable, and laptops easily targeted – computer theft has become a huge problem worldwide. in 2004 alone over 600,000 laptops were stolen in the USA, however the FBI report that almost 97% of stolen computers are not recovered.

A unique theft recovery application by Undercover designed for the Mac aims to reduce the number of stolen laptops.

Using advanced technology by Skyhook Wireless locates your Mac based on WIFI positioning. Then Undercover transmits the network information allowing the Underground recovery center to track the stolen Mac to within a range of 30-50ft.

At regular intervals Undercover will send screenshots of the stolen Mac. These screenshots will eventually reveal the thief’s identity, i.e email, im, etc. This also makes it easier to work with law enforcement for Mac OSX

Another world’s first is using the Mac’s inbuilt iSight to transmit pictures of the thief and his surrounding every 6 minutes, making it easier to identify the thief.

Toyota Prius or a Honda Insight?

“Honda has always done things our own way, and this applies to every aspect of each Honda creation, including styling, engineering and performance.”

So pictured above is the new greatest and latest hybrid from Honda, is it just me, or does this look like a Toyota Prius?

With a very similar shape to the Prius  –  does this indicate that all the mid size hybrids are going to all look extremely similar?  I hope not.  It is a five-door hatchback with a smooth front and a high, abrupt tail. You can add the 2010 Insight to a list of similarly shaped cars that begins with the Toyota Prius and includes the Chevrolet Volt.

At a rumored $18,500 starting price there will be many people interested in Honda’s car, especially if the mpg is better than Prius. = lower cost + better  MPG, more sales.
